The UKs premiere music duo!

The Ratters are one of the UKs best music duos providing entertainment for weddings, functions, pubs, clubs and parties.

With piano, guitar and bass with vocal harmonies they perfom a very wide range of classic hits as well as choice picks from the most memorable music from the past 10 years.

Based in Devon they also play throughout Cornwall, Somerset and Dorset and the rest of the UK including London and Birmingham - ask for details.

Who are the Ratters?

The Ratters are based around Dave Rich on piano, guitar and vocals and either Simon Wrench on bass/vocals. They also play in the high-end function band The Function Keys. Dave also worked for many many years as a solo artist on the local circuit, and also with a few Duo setups and bands. He also toured the UK with his own band,-The Dave Rich Band.

We are available as an acoustic duo, or with backing-tracks for that big band sound. Here are some example configurations.

Full Duo

Comprises the piano, the guitar and the bass with full backing tracks. Needs about 5 meters x 3 meters.

Acoustic duo

A more chilled out set with acoustic guitar and bass and no backing tracks. Needs about 4 meters x 3 meters.

Solo Set

Dave provides a solo show with acoustic and electric guitar and backing tracks. Can get into about 3 meters x 2 meters.

Generally most folks want the full duo but hopefully this shows a little more of what we can do.

Our normal PA rig comprises:-

2xJBL Eon G215 active speakers, 2xDB technology DB15 active Subwoofers, 2x active monitors and 2 t-bar lighting stands with Lo-Power LED spotlights for a rotating colourwash on stage. Will run off one dedicated 13amp socket.

Auditorium PA rig

Adds more to the cost as it's hired in but the auditorium rig goes right up to 15,000 watts of power. The biggest rigs need alot of room and power however so be aware of that - for that reason they are generally only suitable for the largest of venues and outdoor gigs. We can also provide a large lightshow if that is required.

Where do they play?

We play all over devon, cornwall and somerset mainly - but are also happy to travel to places like London, Bristol, Bournemouth and beyond but obviously will charge for travel. We provide entertainment for all manner of venues,- one of the benefits of a duo setup is it's very versatile enabling us to do big shows in hotels and caravan parks through to pubs, social clubs and private parties.
